The 2013 Asian MICE Forum (AMF), implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Bureau of Foreign Trade, is in its 8th year and has attracted a total of more than 4,000 domestic and foreign meetings and exhibitions professionals to attend. This year's forum was held September 11 and September 12 at the Taipei International Convention Center. The line-up of topics and speakers are better than previous years, inspiring more innovation and creativity in terms of integrating creativity with technology in the meetings and exhibitions industry, integrated organization of large-scale events, and building a meetings and exhibitions industry that emphasized both quality and quantity. In the event, we invited the creative marketing guru for the Finland Santa Claus Village and Hong Kong Disneyland, the chairman of the world's largest meetings and exhibitions organization, UFI, and vice president of the largest MICE tourism promotion organization, DMAI, to share their views with us on the latest meetings and exhibitions trends. During the two-day event, there were one CEO chat, four keynote speeches, and four breakout group discussions, providing attendees with the latest in global meetings and exhibitions trends as well as secret tips for success in technical marketing. As the pace of cross-strait economic cooperation gradually accelerates, opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the meetings and exhibitions industry are also beginning to emerge. During the event, we also held the "Cross-Strait MICE Industry Forum," inviting exhibition industry leaders as well as incentives tourism vendors from Mainland China to engage in a discussion with two major Taiwan MICE industry representatives regarding cross-strait business opportunities in cross-strait MICE and incentives tourism cooperation. In addition, with MICE professionals from all over Mainland China coming to Taiwan to attend the event, a new page in cross-strait MICE-related exchange was written. TAITRA 外貿協會 / Taiwantrade 台灣經貿網
