本會於2018年3月28日(星期三) 於國際會議中心103會議室舉行「爭取國際金融機構智慧城市商機」說明會，邀請到INFEN公司創辦人Thomas Maier來台，活動中Mr. Maier將分析各洲國際金融機構(IFI)分布，並介紹台商如何與IFI合作開發智慧城市商機，說明會中Mr. Maier更舉出IFI聚焦智慧城市解決方案，包含智慧型建物能源管理系統、交通管理中心、智慧災害防治。

台北世界設計大會—IDA國際設計論壇，10月24日~26日在台北國際會議中心大會堂盛大開幕，這是由Icsid(國際工業設計社團協會)、Icograda(國際平面設計社團協會)、和IFI(國際室內建築師設計師團體聯盟)三大國際設計組織結盟成立的IDA國際設計聯盟首次聯手舉辦的設計大會。台灣於2009年打敗歐、美、亞三洲13國19個城市，爭取到這個有史以來國際上規模最大的設計盛會。 三天的活動共邀集來自全球21個國家、超過130位各界專家輪番上台分享，並吸引超過3000位海內外設計界精英與會。會中針對經濟發展、網路科技、生物科技、都市發展、國際遷移五大主題進行深入探討與交流。 TAITRA 外貿協會 / Taiwantrade 台灣經貿網
