Arena Burgas is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility located in the seaside city of Burgas. The venue was opened on the 18 of May this year, after prolonged construction, due to additional features. With a seating capacity of 6,000 plus an additional 2,000 seats, it can accommodate a total of 8,000 spectators. However, during concerts, the arena can host up to 15,000 people, making it a possible venue for large-scale musical events.

The construction of Arena Burgas was driven by the desire to provide a competitive facility that can rival the prominent halls in Sofia, Plovdiv, and Ruse. While the arena may have fewer seats compared to “Arena Sofia”, it was the inclusion of a full-fledged athletics track that necessitated such a reduction in seating capacity.

Initially designed primarily for athletics competitions, Arena Burgas underwent significant modifications to make it a versatile and multifunctional venue capable of hosting various events. In addition to athletics competitions, the arena is equipped to host matches and competitions from multiple sports.

One notable feature of Arena Burgas is its large hall with a perfectly smooth concrete base. This design allows for the construction of different surfaces suitable for various sports such as athletics, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. The flexibility in surface construction enables the arena to adapt to the requirements of different sporting events, ensuring optimal performance for athletes and an enjoyable experience for spectators.

The development of Arena Burgas is a significant step towards enhancing the city's sports and entertainment infrastructure. With its modern facilities and ample seating capacity, the arena has the potential to attract both national and international events, contributing to the growth of the city. Additionally, the multifunctional nature of the venue ensures a wide range of events can be hosted, contributing to the ambitions of Burgas to become not only an economic and tourist, but also a sporting center.
