Taiwanese Artist Wins Top Textile Art Prize in Italy

Chung Chiung-yi won the Valcellina Award first prize in the International Contemporary Textile/Fiber Art Competition "for the complexity of her installation, the contemporary spirit of her artistic expression, and originality of reference," the jury said.

Chung's winning work "Face to Face but also Back to Back" features a row of fabrics hung between two chairs that face each other and has mirrors on them.
