KADALOCK is a revolutionary product in bicycle security. Unlike traditional cable locks, KADALOCK is a stylish attachment for the mounting holes of the bottle cage and can be wirelessly connected to the user's smartphone.
KADALOCK is automatically activated upon the user’s touch. At other times, the lock will remain in sleep mode to save power. Once awaken, KADALOCK will establish a wireless connection to the user’s smartphone and request for an unlocking PIN.
The weight of the lock body is only 250g (without bottle cage). The cable coil can reach 120cm in length when fully unwind to lock up to two bicycles.
KADALOCK has a “lock removal prevention” anti-theft feature. The mounting bolts are well-shielded. Any attempt to remove the lock from the bike or to cut the locking cable under locked status will activate an 80dB alarm and trigger a notification sent to the user’s smart phone.
The lock has a rechargeable lithium battery capable of 1-year standby. Once the KADALOCK is activated, a fully charged battery can function up to 11 days under locked mode. Sleeping mode and touch-and-awake features can be enabled to significantly prolong standby time.
KADALOCK is compatible with Android 4.3/iOS 6 or later.
According to the KADALOCK's development team, a Kickstarter campaign for the product will be launched before the Taipei Cycle show. You can also see KADALOCK in action during Taipei Cycle from March 18 to 21 at booth H0716, TWTC Exhibition Hall 1.
