Maternity leave available when the first child is born will be extended from 18 to 20 weeks. 2. If two or more children are born at the same time, materiality leave will be 31-37 weeks (at present: 28 weeks). 3. ?nA female employee will be able to take additional maternity leave of 6-8 weeks and work part-time for her employer at that time, though on a maximum half-time basis only. 4. A father raising a child aged 12 months or less will be able to take 2 weeks’ father’s leave as well as additional father’s leave. 5. Maternity pay will be available during the additional maternity leave and the father’s leave. 6. Employees entitled to child-raising leave will be afforded better protection of employment durability when they work part-time.
